Shirish has more than 16 years of IT experience. In his current role as President and CEO of Horizon he provides overall strategic direction, marketing insight, and technical sales along-with assisting in forging important technology partnerships both in the USA and abroad. He founded Horizon in 1989 and has built it from a one-person body company into a stable project-based consulting firm specializing in ERP and high-tech consulting.

In the initial stages of Horizon Companies, Shirish worked as a Consultant at AT&T Bell Laboratories for six years. He performed market research and Analysis of long-distance communications data, to design products and strategies to prevent the erosion of AT&T's market share. During his tenure at Bell Laboratories, he defined and analyzed a wide range of business problems and provided solutions through a multidisciplinary approach involving quantitative models and techniques by applying various quantitative techniques including Regression, Linear/Non-linear and Stochastic Optimization to identify new business opportunities for the International Communications business. He has worked and continues to work on major technology initiatives in the areas of wireless and broadband, with companies like AT&T and Lucent Technologies.

Shirish possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, a Master's degree in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance and International Business from the Stern Business School of New York University. He has been inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society of collegiate business schools, in recognition of high scholastic achievement.
