Dear Author:

We congratulate you on the acceptance of your paper to the VIEWS 1996 Workshop. We will be editing the VIEWS 1996 informal proceedings, and are enclosing instructions to prepare your paper for publication in the informal proceedings. We ask you to submit:

• On-line copy of the abstract, for placement on the WEB, by Monday, May 13. The abstract must be formatted using html, as shown in the instructions below.

• Camera-ready copy (produced on a high-resolution out-put device) of your manuscript on 8 1/2" x 11" paper, as per the format detailed below. There is a limit of 12 pages for each paper.

  The manuscript must reach us by Monday, May 13, 1996.

• A WWW pointer to the postscript version of your final paper (If you chose to post it on the Web).

• 12 page limit.

• The title of the paper must be in 14 pt bold Times Roman font (\LARGE size in LaTex).
• Use 10 pt. bold Times Roman font for each author name.
• List the affiliation and email address for each author under the author's name. Use 9pt regular Times Roman font (\small size in LaTex) for the affiliation and email address of each author.
• VERY IMPORTANT: Repeat the affiliataion for each author, even if all the authors have the same affiliation. An exception to this rule may be made only if the paper has 6 or more authors.
• There is no need to give the postal address for authors. WWW addresses may be given. If given, WWW addresses should be in regular Times Roman font.

• Use 10 pt. Times Roman font for the main body of the paper.

• Use 8 1/2" x 11" paper.

• Pages must not be numbered, starting at the page number. Please write the page number in pencil on the back of each sheet.

• Two-column format. Each column must be 3.33" wide, with a 0.33" spacing between the columns.

• Left and right margins must each be .75". Top margin must be .75", and the bottom margin must be 1.00". Thus, the printed height of the text will be 9.25".

• Please DO NOT leave any space for a copyright message.

• This site contains a LaTeX style file "views96.sty" and a "sample-views96.tex" file that conforms to above requirements. If you are a LaTeX user, I request that you use the "views96.sty" file, and start by modifying the "sample-views96.tex" file to convert it into your paper. In particular, you must format author names/addresses as shown in the sample file.

• Format the paper using the sample html format.

• I will appreciate if you copy the sample html abstract (by looking at the html source of the abstract), and replace title/authors/text with your title/authors/text.

• Change the name "paperMumickAbstract" in the html source by substituting "Mumick" with the last name of the first author on the paper. Capitalize the last name as shown.
• More sample abstracts.
