Dr. Inderpal Singh Mumick, Founder, Chairman and CEO, Kirusa, was invited to give a keynote speech at the IDEAS '06, the Tenth International Database Engineering & Applications Symposium conference in IIT Delhi on December 12th, 2006. The talk was attended by representatives from universities and research labs from around the world.

The aim of the IDEAS series of symposiums is to address the engineering and application aspects of databases. IDEAS series of symposiums are scheduled annually and have been held since 1997 in North America, Europe and Asia and have attracted participants from governmental and non-governmental agencies, industries, and academia.

Dr. Mumick spoke on the Voice SMS Technology, reinforcing the importance of Voice SMS as the next big development in mobile market and a key driver for mobile growth. He also demonstrated how each Voice SMS message generates database activity and the technical challenges the application presents.
