She has scheduled an important client meeting at 2 pm which Jay cannot afford to miss. Lisa does not want to review the reports without Jay’s insights. Unfortunately, all she can hear is an automated voice which tells her that his number is switched off. Lisa gets worried. She doesn’t know that Jay is using a different SIM card today. </span></span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN">Meanwhile, Jay is attending an internal meeting inside a basement room. The basement is unpopular amongst his colleagues because of the poor network coverage there. Almost everybody including Jay has missed a call or two down at the basement. However, Jay is not worried about missing any calls today because he has installed the InstaVoice App. He will know if anybody is trying to reach him even without any network in the basement.</span></span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN">At one point, Jay feels his phone vibrating, and takes a glance. He sees three missed call notifications and a voicemail, all of them from Lisa.</span></span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN">Not a single bar on the network, yet he manages to get them on the InstaVoice app via basement WiFi. Assuming that Lisa has something important to convey, he opens the app and views the panel containing all missed call and voicemail notifications. Not wanting to disrupt the meeting, he converts the voicemail from Lisa into a text message and reads about the urgent review at 2. </span></span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN">The meeting ends in the next 15 minutes, and Jay exits the basement. He immediately calls Lisa and informs her that he will be at the review. Lisa is surprised to hear from him. She was almost preparing for a solo review.</span></span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN">Jay tells her that he is indeed, carrying a different SIM card today but managed to get the notification because of the InstaVoice app. It lets him link up to 10 numbers, and he can receive unlimited missed call and voicemail notifications for every number. The app enables call forwarding whenever a caller tries to reach him. </span></span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN">Lisa is impressed and decides to install the app on her phone. It takes her two minutes, and she links three of her numbers on the InstaVoice account. The third number has been lying unused since the day of her graduation, because it belongs to a very slow network, and she has encountered call termination on several occasions. All kinds of call problems occurred while she was using it. Most of them are missed call alerts from people she knew in college. Lisa feels guilty for not staying in touch. She scrolls down and sees five voicemails from Drake, a boy she liked in college but never dared to approach. It seems like he has been trying to reach her for the last eight months, the amount of time it has been since the graduation. She opens each voicemail to find that he had sent her several messages that never got delivered. He had sent them to suggest a few dates, and when she did not respond, Drake resorted to voicemails. </span></span></span></a><a href="#_msocom_1">[1]</a> </span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN">A few days later, Lisa receives a voicemail via InstaVoice from Drake, a boy she liked in college but never dared to approach. Surprised, Lisa wonders how he got hold of her number when they haven’t spoken since graduation. She opens it and hears Drake asking if she has moved out of town. In case she is still around, Drake would love to invite her to his new Lounge bar. </span></span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN">Upon further pondering, Lisa realizes that Drake had originally sent the voicemail to her old college number. If that happens to be the case, he must have tried reaching her several times in the past too. Luckily, when Drake dialled her number this time, InstaVoice would have prompted him to leave a voicemail. Considering that all her are numbers are now interlinked over the InstaVoice account now, Lisa can seamlessly receive missed calls and voicemails on her device.</span></span></span></span></p> <p><span><span><span><span lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN" xml:lang="EN-IN">Lisa heartily thanks InstaVoice and its makers. She has won a painting competition today, and cannot wait to break the good news to him. However, despite thirteen attempts, Abeo does not return any of his daughter’s calls. A wave of dejection swamps over her and she decides to avoid human contact by climbing the tallest tree behind their house. </span></p> <p><span>Meanwhile, Abeo is at a site supervising the workers. Due to the ongoing construction, network towers in the area have been inoperative. Therefore, everybody at the site has been missing calls, and Abeo has not had the time to check his phone for the last two days. He is unaware of Aretta’s thirteen call attempts, and her growing assumption that Lagos is making him forget his family.</span></p> <p><span>The ringtones that Aretta has been hearing are actually false tones being played by “intermediate providers”. It is a common occurrence in several villages which masks the problem of rural call completion. Instances like these trick the caller into assuming that the called party is not responding despite getting their calls.</span></p> <p><span>Over lunch, a co-worker tells him about a call completion service provider called InstaVoice that he has subscribed to. The service apparently notifies the user with voicemail and missed call alerts. </span></p> <p><span>Abeo instinctively feels that he has missed something important in the last two days. The realization that he has not spoken to his family for a while strikes him hard and wonders if he needs a subscription as well.</span></p> <p><span>Upon reaching home, he gets a call from his wife, Ejaita who complains about Abeo not paying enough attention to his family ever since the Lagos project. She doesn’t forget to mention the 13 calls he has missed from his daughter.</span></p> <p><span>Abeo immediately subscribes to InstaVoice and discovers that it delivers Voice SMS and missed call alerts in case he is within a weak network zone or the phone was switched off. He can get SMS notifications with the retrieval number and listen to his voice messages.</span></p> <p><span>The next day, Abeo carries goes to work without worrying about missing a call in the absence of a functioning network tower as he has InstaVoice for missed call alerts. Traffic jams during rush hours are a nightmare, and the light drizzle is turning into a shower. If only she had left home a little earlier!</p> <p>In a matter of seconds, torrential rain starts drumming against the roof of her car. The street begins to clog, further delaying the vehicles. Lisa cannot see through the commotion or figure out the source of this jam.</p> <p>All of a sudden, it strikes her that there is no way of getting on time because none of the vehicles are moving. Now is the time to call Liam, her client and explain the situation. Lisa takes out her phone, dials the number and waits in anticipation. Only static! An inaudible automated voice indicates that the call cannot get through.</p> <p>Ten call attempts and ten minutes later, the downpour is still persistent, and the water level rises further. With the other car drivers cursing behind her, Lisa is getting frantic. The network bars are complete on the phone, yet she cannot get through.</p> <p>She jumps with a start when the phone begins to ring. It is Liam! How has he managed to reach her? Lisa takes the call and apologizes for the delay. She explains the waterlogged streets, heavy traffic and the unlikelihood of reaching anywhere today.</p> <p>Little does she know that only moments ago Liam was going berserk in the backseat of his car. The delay was making him impatient and he had several arguments with the driver. Morover, he had forgotten to save Lisa’s number was hoping that she would herself make a call.</p> <p>The call never arrived but he instead got a missed call notification via InstaVoice, a call completion app that can link up to 10 numbers and allow him to receive unlimited missed call and voicemail notifications for each one of them. The app also enables call forwarding whenever a caller tries to reach him.</p> <p>Therefore, Liam was cursing at the car standing infront of his when he felt the phone vibrate and checked to see quite a few missed call notifications from an unknown number. He has a 9-hour long layover before the next flight to New York. His initial urge was to find a comfortable spot with good Wi-Fi access. However, he decides to make a quick tour of the city instead.</span></p> <p><span>Aboard the public tram, Mohor begins his journey visiting the Victoria Peak and continues with Sheung Wan, Soho, etc. along the way. While ticking the major attractions off his bucket list, he remembers an urgent client call scheduled at 4 pm. It is 15 minutes to go according to his phone, and he recalls that the original SIM card is buried deep in his suitcase. He blames himself for configuring the US SIM card too early. There is no way he can get back to the Airport Cloakroom now.</span></p> <p><span>Although the tram has free WiFi, he cannot find any numbers in his emails or messages. Mohor begins to panic and cannot process the situation any further. It is only a few seconds to 4 PM when a “beep” takes him by surprise. It happens to be a voicemail notification from some number that begins with +44. Yes, somebody from the UK has been trying to reach him, and the voicemail has arrived on InstaVoice, a call completion app.</span></p> <p><span>He opens the voicemail and hears the client’s familiar voice asking if he was free because his number is currently switched off. After returning the call and having a long chat, he realizes what just happened. It can work anytime, anywhere across any device that has the app installed. All you need is WiFi or any internet service provider, and an account. It is the perfect companion if anybody is traveling and cannot carry multiple SIM cards.</span></p> <p><span>An old lady prods his shoulder and Mohor snaps out of the phone. He has been in the same spot for 30 seconds blocking the queue.
